has been clowning for 15 years, and teaching for many more; she has an M.A. in Maths Education, has worked as an Advisory Teacher in Harrow, and most recently as Numeracy Consultant for Hounslow.

 

She performed as Hattie at "Maths 2000" events, in  shopping centres, in schools and in the

Millennium Dome.  

 

SINCE 2001

 

  HattieMaths has: 

  • performed for schools in Derbyshire, Northamptonshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, West Sussex and the London Boroughs of Ealing, Barnet, Hounslow, Hillingdon:

  • performed at and held workshops at Summer Schools in Buckinghamshire, Leicestershire, Cornwall, Ealing, Westminster: 

  • and has appeared as a Maths Clown for the East Durham Development Agency (including the Peterlee and Seaham Carnivals), the Newham Education Action Zone (at London City Airport) and for Hounslow Education Business Partnership (at Hounslow Shopping Centre).

  In her role as a Mathematics Education consultant, Sue: 

  • has delivered Numeracy Strategy Training at Wokingham, Newham, and Waltham Forest,

  • has led INSET in schools in Newham and Northamptonshire

  • and on behalf of BEAM,  has led INSET in Reading, Sittingbourne and London.

                  working on a mental mathematics project, researching mental
